Our professional training staff has spent many years devoted to pursuing excellence in the study of health, weight management, and fitness. The Gym, Elkins Park’s Fitness Staff includes an all accredited certified staff whose primary objective is to help our Members achieve their health and fitness goals.

By retaining a highly educated Fitness Staff, our Club is able to cater to a diverse Member population. Our Fitness Staff has extensive experience in weight management, nutrition, bodybuilding, general strength training, post physical therapy, cardiac rehabilitation, training the disabled, and adolescent fitness.

Through extensive training, certification and dedication, our Certified Personal Trainers have attained mastery in the fitness field and truly enjoy sharing their skills and teaching it to our Members:

Mark, Fitness Director, has a degree in Exercise Science and Wellness from Montgomery County Community College, Certified as a Personal Trainer by AAAI, and is also certified to teach TRX Suspension Training. Mark’s specialties include Boot Camp Training, TRX Suspension Training, Athletic Training, Toning & Sculpting, and Adolescent Training. Mark is supported by an all Certified Staff – Mike and Elliott.

Mike Cusack, Head Trainer, has a diploma in Personal Training from the National Personal Training Institute which requires 500 hours of education before certification. Mike is also a Certified Nutrition Consultant and a Crossfit Trainer. Mike’s specialties include Boot Camp, TRX Suspension, Crossfit, Strength, and Athletic Training.

Elliott Hughes, Personal Trainer, is a National Academy of Sports Medicine Certified Personal Trainer. He is also currently pursuing a BS in Exercise Science at Holy Family University. Elliott’s specialties include Boot Camp, Strength, and Sport Specific Training in Basketball and Soccer.

Our trainers utilize the latest innovative fitness and nutrition techniques such as the Face to Face Fitness Program, Ameri Shape Weight Management Program, TRX Suspension Training, workout ropes, slam balls, sand bags, tractor tires, weight sleds, stability balls, and kettle bells to enable our Members to quickly achieve their fitness goals.
